RANDOM

Okay....so this post contains a few random outfits that I have photos of, but I didn't do an outfit post on.

This is my new dress from Dress Barn, and I have worn it at least three times since I bought it. I love a good maxi dress, and this cardigan was a perfect cover up for chilly evenings. I love how comfortable this dress is!
Stella & Dot Bracelets, Khol's cardigan

My alma mater made it to March Madness, and I was so proud! Now we didn't get very far, but I was/am still proud nonetheless.

The man's family bought me this green tank while they were on a weekend vacation, so I decided to wear it (Because who doesn't love wearing new clothes?) Please excuse the TRASHCAN next to me in this photo.

Let's just say that I love this dress. It is from Francesca's collections, (so is the belt).

So that's just a few photos for ya. Hope you enjoyed them.

Spring into Polka Dots

I think the title of this post makes sense when you see the outfit that I wore...lol.

So I have had this particular outfit tucked away in my mind for some time now, but I've felt like the colors were to bright and cheerful to wear during the cold winter months. I decided to wear this combo for Easter, as I kind of felt like an Easter Egg. I had planned on wearing a new cute spring dress that I recently bought, but the weather just wasn't cooperating with me. (Ok so the picture of the dress online doesn't do it justice. It's actually really cute and not so "old" looking in person).

Okay so back to this outfit. Now these shoes are not actually coral like the shirt, they are more pink. However I like to pretend that from afar the two colors look similar and everyone thinks I'm cool for matching my shoes to my shirt. And my necklace.

Sweater: The Loft
Shirt: J. Crew Factory
Jeans: Target
Shoes: Old Navy
Necklace: Dress Barn (new item)
Earrings (not shown): My chocolate diamond earrings

Dress Barn has a few knock-off jewelry pieces right now. The necklaces and bracelets resemble those by Stella and Dot, and J.Crew.....at a much lower price.

Can we just take a quick peak at this necklace for sale at J. Crew right now? I'm obviously searching for it's cheaper twin right now.

Polka Dots with a Pop of color

So this past weekend I got to spend some time with my family...and they got me a bit sick. I have a lovely little cough and sore throat. My job consists of constantly talking, so work is not the most fun right now. I'm almost hoping for some snow right now so that we can officially close for tomorrow. (It might be a staff only kind of day, but I'd rather curl up on my couch with a warm cup of tea).

So I've had this blazer in my closet for a few months now. (I picked it up at the first clothing swap that I attended. )However it is dry clean only, and I didn't have a need to go to the cleaner's for anything else for a while, so it just sat next to my laundry hamper for a while. (Because the floor next to the hamper is the designated dry cleaning spot).

I was determined to wear flats this day, even though my ankles weren't too happy about that. This is my way of channeling spring. (It may not be working since it is suppose to snow this week).

Blazer: from the clothing swap
Green Shirt: Dress Barn
Pants: Old Navy

Dots and Spots

I am back from Jamacia! Woo hoo! I tried to remember to take pictures while we were there, but of course I don't have my camera cord to connect it to my computer. I never turned my phone on while we were there either as I do not have phone service there (without it costing tons of money).

If I can find time soon, I will recreate my outfits at home, to show you what I wore. Since I have been back, my days have been long (yesterday was an 11 hour work day), so I only have one outfit to show you. However I do have some good news. Once a week, I will be able to dress up instead of swearing scrubs to work! You fashionistas out there know why this makes me so happy.

The cardigan in these photos came from the clothing swap that I recently attended!

And Happy Valentine's Day!

Cardigan: Simply Vera Wang (clothing swap)
Tank: Express
Pants: Old Navy
Boots: Candies at Khols
Necklace: Francesca's Collections

*Yup, I wear glasses. (Some days.) This was one of those days.

Polka Dots and Green

Last weekend I went to a Stella and Dot party hosted by one of my friends. I don't own anything by Stella and Dot, but I have seen many of their items throughout the blogging world. I am getting this bracelet in pink and in white. I was loving just about everything in the catalog and wanted it all.  However, like most women I know, I'm on a limited clothing budget so  had to take a step back and think about what I'm lacking in my jewelry. I realized that I own one pink item of jewelry: pink earrings. I really liked these little bangles so I decided that they would be mine!

This is the outfit that I wore the the Stella and Dot party. If I were to ever sell jewelry, I think this would be the stuff that I would want to sell!

Polka Dot Sweater: The Limited
Green Shirt: Express
Pants: Target
Boots: Expres
Necklace, Bracelet, Earrings: Francesca's Collection

*This shirt is really an Emerald green color, but the lovely lighting in my bathroom turns it into this color.

Polka Dots and Coral

For once I'm actually posting an outfit while I'm still wearing it! I got this sweater right before Christmas, while I was shopping for the man's mom. The Limited was having a 50% off store wide sale, so I knew that I had to check out the racks. I saw this sweater and knew that it had to be mine as I have been looking for a polka dot sweater for some time. I had not planned on buying myself anything, but I just could not pass this sweater up.I ended up getting the man's mom this sweater for (one of her many) Christmas presents. (He wanted to give her clothes for Christmas, but he didn't know what to get for her. Instead he gave me some cash and said have fun shopping...which of course I did!)

The man and I have been running errands all day, and are going to look at a condo this afternoon. I wanted to be comfortable, but still look grown up for the condo showing (lol). I was going to pair my purple pants with this outfit, but it was way to bright for January. However, once spring starts to roll around...I'm totally wearing it.
