Blue, Gray, and Orange...

This outfit was based on the fact that I had worn my tan pants from Old Navy 100,939 times in February. Okay, that might be a slight exaggeration. That would be a lot of clothing changes each day.

I decided that I needed to wear a different pair of pants. And that's the story about why I'm wearing these pants.

Hope you enjoyed it.

Green Snakes

Okay, so there are no actual green snakes in this post. But I am wearing green and snake print pants, so the title stands.

I've been taking some pictures of my clothes for my Go Chic or Go Home page, and decided that I needed to wear this shirt ASAP. I was thinking about adding my white vest with the outfit, but that will have to be for another day.

I really liked the brightness of the shirt with the rest of the outfit , and thought that my new Francesca's necklace went perfectly with it.

Purple and Teal....plus a sale!

SALE ALERT!! Francesca's Collections is having a buy one, get one 50% on new jewelry in their stores right now. Okay, so that is a common sale that goes on in that store. However, they are also having a buy one thing on clearance, and get something else on clearance for free. The clearance sale is store wide, so you may want to go check out a store near you. I had gotten a gift card to Francesca's for Christmas, so I had a lot of fun over the weekend shopping in the store. The man and I were meeting his dad and little sister for lunch near our local Francesca's store, so after lunch us girls went shopping! We told to boys to go find something to do because we were going to be a while. Haha.

**THIS POST CONTAINS MANY PHOTOS!!**

While I was shopping, I found a necklace that I thought went better with my outfit than the necklace that I wore when walked out of the door that morning.

Wearing the necklace that I bought while shopping.

I purchased two necklaces and two bracelets while shopping. The mint bracelet and the gray necklace were the regular priced items, and the purple and gold necklace and the black and gold bracelet were the clearance items.

Royal Blue and Snakeprint

I might be obsessed with blue tops and light bottoms. Or more specifically these bottoms. And this color blue. I wish I would have returned this sweater though and gotten a size smaller. It is the same sweater as I wore in this post. Actually, it is the same outfit, but with a different colored sweater. lol. Part of me likes the slouchy sweater look, and the other part of me likes the tighter sweater. All of my likes this royal blue color.

I hope you do too.

White & Black & Red all over

When I originally bought this cardigan, I only wore it buttoned up, over a brightly colored cami. (Usually canary yellow). For some reason, I just never thought about un-buttoning the sweater to turn it into a cardigan. I almost got rid of the sweater until one day I thought to myself, why not try wearing this opened up over something? That little move opened the (closet) door to so many new outfits, and I am so happy that I did not get rid of the sweater.

Some days, I just want to wear something comfortable, so you get this outfit.

Finally, A New Year's Outfit

So I figured that it has been a few days since I posted about how I wore this sweater, so I could post about it again.  I had been planning on wearing some fancy dress for NYE, but then the man and I decided that we really did not want to go out to celebrate, so we decided to ring in the New Year with family and friend's. The man's brother was hosting another NYE party at his condo, so we were able to have some low-key fun.

The invitation said "Dress to Impress, but it doesn't take make to impress me". haha. I decided that I wanted to be comfortable since I knew that we would be sitting around the living room playing games, and stuffing ourselves silly with tasty food.

I will definitely wear this outfit again, probably on a dinner date or something.

*I was going to wear a necklace, but I just wasn't feeling them once I tried on 3 different necklaces that evening.

Anyone look at what the color for 2013 is going to be? It's Emerald! Now I am very excited about this as Emerald and jewel tones are right up my alley when it comes to coloring.

Feathers and Snake Print

So I think that my shirt in this post looks kind of like feathers, even though it's probably more of just a "swirl" pattern. I also realize that there is a lot of pattern going on, on the top AND bottom of this outfit, but I still like it. I think that I really just like the colors of the shirt with the gray-ness of the pants.

I hope you guys have a great weekend!

I finally added some command hooks to the wall for my necklaces. Both sides of my jewelry box have hooks in them for necklaces, but I have way more necklaces than hooks. They kept getting tangled in each other, and I was tired of having to deal with that mess every time I wanted to wear a necklace. The man said that he thought that my necklaces added a little bling to the bedroom as we don't have anything on the walls in there.

The earrings holder is made from a goodwill picture frame that has screen like material stapled to it. My mom made it for me when I was in college. :)

Orange and Snake Print

Some days I have an idea floating around my head of what I want to wear. Some of these days, the outfit looks as good on me as it did in my head, other days, not so much. I was never 100% okay with this outfit, but I did not dislike it enough to take it off until the family Christmas get-together that evening. I actually kept the outfit the same except that I changed out of the snake-print tank into a navy sequined tank. Of course I did not get pictures of the second outfit, so you will just have to use your imagination.

I still have a few outfits leftover from 2012 that need to be posted, however I did get a lot of new clothes for Christmas....

My new black diamond earrings that then man gave me for Christmas. This is definitely not the best photo ever taken, but you can get an idea of what they look like.

I got the vest that I really wanted for Christmas. As soon as I unwrapped it, I put it on and wore it for the rest of the day. This was the only photo that I took last week of my clothes, so I thought that I'd share it.

*I do realized that there is a lot of green in this picture...

Snake Print and Burgundy

I hope that everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I felt like I was in a car for the entire weekend, but it was nice to see my family. I tried to make sure that I packed comfortable clothes for the weekend because I knew that I'd be riding for hours in a car.

I was also able to score some deals on black Friday. Express had a 50% off the entire store sale, so I made sure to hit them up. (I know that their sale started on Wednesday and was also online, but I was in a car all day Wednesday and I wanted to try on clothes). I was able to get some amazing deals on items that I had been looking at for a while. If shopping on black Friday is your thing, I hope that you were able to get some great deals! If you prefer to wait until Cyber Monday, then you better get shopping!

Animal style

So I won a free happy hour at Sign of the Whale, a fun little joint in D.C. I am obsessed with their pretzels and the man loves their cheese steak egg rolls. To be honest, that is why we really went. haha. I obviously took off the sweater as the evening was so warm. As the man and I jumped on the full metro to ride home, I sat down next to a girl, and looked up and it was my friend! She was on her way to a lounge to watch her bf D.J., so of course we had to follow. I love D.C.

I'm not sure how long the semi-annual sale at Express is going on, but see if you can catch it. I went towards the tail-end of the sale, but there were still some amazing steals on the racks. This is one sale that I like to go to because there is always something great on sale!

I love living next to a metro stop as the man and I tend to go into D.C. a fair amount these days. As long as our planned destination isn't too far off of the metro, we'll gladly attend! However I can become subjected to motion sickness very easily, so this is the "relaxed" position that I prefer to travel in.
